Come and browse the merchandise in our Market on Main. Vendors sell their products under the shade of the big poplar at the end of Main St. in Avonlea. You never know what will be available, so check it out. BBQ'd hamburgers and hotdogs will be available as a museum fundraiser sponsored by Avonlea Insurance, Callaghan's Foods and MNP. You could make a morning of it and also sign up for a hike to the Avonlea Badlands from 9:30-11:30.

Who was Doc Dunnet? He was the medical doctor for Avonlea and district from 1912-1957. The museum is researching this most respectable character of our history. You can take part in the festivities during afternoon tea at 2pm, or celebrate with us at the wine & cheese at 7:30pm. We encourage you to come dressed from his era, or perhaps enter his look-a-like contest and enjoy the festivities!
