Meet at Long Creek Golf and Country Club's Clubhouse and watch famous Saskatchewan photographer, Colin Chatfield's presentation about night photography. Afterward, we will be shooting on the golf course and milky way at the Avonlea Badlands. All this for only $50/person. Bring a flashlight or headlamp, tripod, camera capable of long exposures, and warm clothing. You must be able to carry your gear 2 kilometres. There are a limited number of spots, so contact the museum to book yours today. Hope to see you there!

Attend this informative workshop led by SK's premiere timelapse photographer, Notanee Bourassa. 

  • 3-5pm workshop in Avonlea Heritage Museum - Learn how to achieve timelapse photography. Notanee will explain camera methods, post processing batches and final assembly. Discussion about astro calculations.
  • 5-6pm Break for supper
  • 6-8pm Guided hike into the Avonlea Badlands to catch moonrise and sunset on the Autumnal Equinox

  • Camera
  • Tripod
  • Flashlight or headlamp (preferred) with red filter (preferred)
  • Warm clothing
  • Good walking footwear
  • Backpack (recommended)

  • Intervalometer or remote trigger (optional)
  • extra battery/card (optional)

** Please note that the hike into the Avonlea Badlands is 2 kilometres roundtrip and we will have to carry our gear. But the results are worth it!

BBQ lunch available. If you would like to set up a table and sell your products, let us know by the Thursday before and we will add you to the list of vendors.
